One of the iPhone 5 Features that we are looking forward to is that a NFC chip will hopefully be fitted into the iPhone 5. Near-Field Communication allows data exchange, simple transactions and wireless connections between two devices within a close proximity. Smartphones with NFC capabilities enable their users to essentially use their phone as a credit card. This makes transactions easier, quicker and much more efficient. Similar to how Google Wallet works on the Google Nexus S. This is rumored to be one of the most practical iPhone 5 Features and you never know, credit cards for small transactions may just be a thing of the past!

It is both assumed and hoped that this time around, Apple will provide us with an upgraded camera. This is obviously one of the most wanted features for the iPhone 5 because an even better camera will do wonders for the photography buff in all of us. With an 8MP camera in the iPhone 4S, could we get a 10MP camera as one of the more usable iPhone 5 features? The iPhone 4s has an amazing camera, not only because it is an 8 mega pixel camera but with the advanced optics the photos are incredible. It is almost as if the photos are too good to come from an actual phone! Not only that but the iPhone 4s has all the features you would expect from a really high end camera such as face detection that actually works and with the advanced optics making the most of whatever light you have, the photos come out so sharp and crisp you have to see it to believe it! Even photos in low light come out realy good on the iPhone 4s so imagine how good they will be on the iPhone 5!

3. iPhone 5 Features – A5 Processor

It is highly likely that the iPhone 5 will contain the new Apple A5 chip which is the advance chip in the iPad 2 and iPhone 4s. This A5 processor contains a dual-core PowerVR GPU and a dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 CPU. Apple claims that this CPU is twice as powerful as the one before it and the GPU is almost nine times as powerful as its predecessor. Basically, this means that the iPhone 5 will feature more memory and respond at a much faster rate. This has got a huge thumbs up from users of the iPhone 4s and with the amount of time and money it took to develop this A5 chip, as well as how advanced it is, it is expected to be included as one of the iPhone 5 features.

Many of Apple’s competitors have released smartphones that are compatible with the 4G network and if Apple want to stay up to speed with the battle of the smartphones they need to introduce 4G compatibility with the iPhone 5. Many were surprised that the iPhone 4s didn’t have 4g as one of it’s features and there was indeed some confusion with AT&T listing the iPhone 4s in the list of 4g devices by mistake. Rumours state that the screen size will be increased from the current 3.5-inch to a larger 3.7 or 4 inch display. Many people were shocked that the screen size wasn’t increased for the iPhone 4s. Even thugh the resolution is very good and crisp a bigger screen will definitely make life a lot easier as one of the iPhone 5 features.

A voice control system will be one of the most important features of the iPhone 5 if it is actually included because it will put the iPhone 5 above the other smartphones in the market. It is reported that an ‘assistant’ will be included that can actually communicate with the user by performing tasks, giving reminders, reading out emails and giving directions. The iPhone 4s has ‘Siri’ and this has had amazing reviews. We have had voice control on iphones for years but apparently people are much happier with this because it actually works!

Almost all IPhone customers are expecting improved battery life from the iPhone 5 as one of its key features. No one knows by how much but with the new processors it certainly is a great possibility. The newest operating system from Apple contains over 200 new features including iMessage, Newstand, Reminders and iBooks. The aesthetics of the newest design will be a significant factor in selling the iPhone 5 and the newer, more technological the design is, the more popular it will be. This has been proven with the earlier iPhone models, as in the difference between the iPhone 3GS and the iPhone 4. It will need to look different so people know you have an iPhone 5 and not an iPhone 4S. There are rumours it may not just be thinner but with a kind of space age curved shape, similar to the new google nexus phones. We will see if this comes about as one of the new iphone 5 features!

10. iPhone 5 Features – Higher Storage Capacity

It is likely that the storage size of the iPhone 5 will increase to an option of a massive 128 GB of memory. It has also been rumoured that a memory card slot will be introduced for users, although this is unlikely if they are to stick with a thinner design. The iPhone 4s currently has the capacity of 16 GB, 32 GB or 64 GB of memory.

There have been so many rumors about a possible iphone 5 release date, but as usual Apple keeps this information absolutely top secret! We have the iPhone 4S now and so what can we expect from Apple with regard to iPhone 5 Features? It was rumoured that the latest smart phone would be released on the 4th October 2011, and then to the great dismay of iphone lovers everywhere, we get the iPhone 4S instead. Whether there’s a realistic timeline of getting the final rundown on what exactly the iPhone 5 features will be or not, we’ll just have to wait and see.

The main thing sparking all the excitement about future iPhone 5 features is that it will be very different to the iPhone 4S, which is of course basically an upgrade of the iPhone 4. Don’t get me wrong here – I absolutely LOVE my iPhone but I can’t wait to find out what the iPhone 5 will showcase.

It is expected that black and white versions will be released, consistent with previous iPhone models. Excellent pictures will be captured with minimal lighting making for brilliant photos with less effort. The iCloud has only recently been announced and has sparked interest from all over the technological world. Another one of the new iPhone 5 features is the Near Field Communications support. It is speculated that this aspect enables consumers to use their iPhone 5 just like a credit card.
